Volunteers in their own words.

Hear some of our past and current volunteers talk about why they chose to give time to Christian Aid.

Join Christian Aid’s volunteer Speaker team, and be part of a network of over 100 like-minded people across England, Scotland and Wales. You'll have the opportunity to use and develop your presentation skills, put your faith into action and help to promote justice in the world.

You’ll take the stories about Christian Aid projects around the world, sharing the impact of our work – encouraging people to give, act, and pray. Many of our volunteers speak in local churches, and you're welcome to make connections in different community spaces that support the aims of Christian Aid.

'Being a volunteer speaker for me is all about being an ambassador for Christian Aid , and really getting their message out there, putting my faith into action' says David, one of our fantastic volunteers.

To thrive in this opportunity, you don’t need to be a professional speaker or teacher. You will need to have engaging presentation skills, the ability to inspire others, and enthusiasm for the work of Christian Aid

You’ll receive the training and resources to carry out your role, plus the opportunity to meet other volunteers online and at our supporter conferences and celebrations. You won’t be out of pocket volunteering with us – we provide expenses to carry out your activities.

'If you're thinking about becoming a volunteer Speaker, I would really encourage you to do it. It's a great opportunity to really immerse yourself in the stories behind Christian Aid's work! '
