Greenbelt Festival 2024 - Logistics Volunteer

Volunteers in their own words.

Hear some of our past and current volunteers talk about why they chose to give time to Christian Aid.

About Christian Aid at Greenbelt Festival

Greenbelt festival is '...somewhere artistry meets activism, where the political meets the practical'.  For the past 30+ years, Christian Aid has been in partnership with the festival, bringing campaigning, discussion, challenge, and engagement to the festival fields.

Join us at the beautiful Boughton House grounds near Kettering for a weekend of music, comedy, talks, worship and much more!

About the role

Working as part of the core on-site delivery team, you will support the set-up and break-down of the Christian Aid presence at the festival.

The logistics volunteers help coordinate the arrival or equipment and resources, setting up equipment and branding, and solving problems as they arise.

With the majority of your work taking place in the days leading up to and following the festival you will have lots of time during the main festival days free to relax!  In return you will get a weekend festival pass, food vouchers for some meals, and a contribution towards your travel expenses.

About you

Practical, maybe with some good DIY skills, you will be good at getting things done and have the ability to keep calm under pressure.

Great at problem-solving, you will have a sense of humour and the ability to deal with the unexpected.

A full driving licence would be helpful for the role, and a willingness to drive a van from London to the festival.

Able to thrive in a faith-based festival environment, you will bring your own camping equipment (or stay off-site, at your own cost), and be available for the whole duration of the festival weekend (22nd - 25th August), plus days before and after the festival, inclusive).

Volunteers must be aged 18+ on arrival at the festival.
