About the role

We are looking to recruit a mid-level finance professional for the role of Programme Finance Officer to support our MHF UNOCHA (Localized Multi-Sectoral Life-saving Support to conflict- affected communities in Northwest covering Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay and Chin), Irish Aid (Chronic Crisis Stream Programme), DEC Appeal  ”,supporting in proposals submission for new institutional fundings and other projects for both restricted & un-restricted fundas assigned by line manager. The role will be based in Yangon, Myanmar.  This role is recruited on a national contract basis for 3 months fixed term (Unpaid leave).

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide support to the project team and partners to assist grant transfers, monitor grant utilization and compliance. You will work under guidance of Finance Manager to provide prompt professional financial support to programme team through working closely with the local partners under MHF_UNOCHA (Localized Multi-Sectoral Life-saving Support to conflict- affected communities in Northwest covering Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay and Chin), Irish Aid (Chronic Crisis Stream Programme), DEC Appeal funded project across different parts of Myanmar. You will ensure the financial reports are prepared, supporting documents are collected/stored in accordance with Donor’s compliance as well as CAM’s policy and procedure. You will support Finance Manager to monitor the budget vs actual and monthly absorption rates of each partner. You will review the financial reports from partners, verification of supporting documents, conduct financial monitoring visit as needed and provide feedback with findings, recommendations to partners. You will ensure all the financial reports, payment notification receipts, audit reports and other supporting documents required for audit are uploaded in the system.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be required to be proactive, approachable, and adaptable. You will demonstrate an appreciation of organizational corporate objectives and be adaptable to organizational culture. You will also possess demonstrable experience of providing excellent hands on operational and transactional customer service on a timely basis to meet business needs and openness to learning.

You are in possession of working in finance and grant management with concrete experience of working with local partners coupled with a sound knowledge of institutional donors policies, especially for MHF-UNOCHA & Irish Aid.

 

Further information

This role is open to the Myanmar nationals only and FTC for 3 months for sick leave covered.  This position is contingent upon funding availability.
